Kanda Shrine is enshrined in Kaizuka City, Osaka, and has long served as the tutelary shrine of Kaizuka Jinaichō. Rated as a former gōsha (village shrine), it has been deeply venerated as the guardian deity of this land. The principal deity is Susanoo-no-Mikoto, revered for warding off calamity and disease. The shrine has been closely woven into daily life in this agricultural region, where prayers for abundant harvests and community safety have been offered for generations. Every July, a lively taiko-dai festival is held, bringing local residents together in celebration. During the Edo period, the shrine received patronage from the lord of Kishiwada domain, ensuring the maintenance of its halls and festivals.
