An ancient Tendai Buddhist temple in Wakasa, enshrining one of the oldest Amitabha Buddha statues in the Kansai region. Over 1,200 years, it has embodied Buddhist-Shinto syncretism, continuing to welcome pilgrims under the protection of both Wakasa deities and Amitabha Buddha.
