History
Ryuugankiji is enshrined in Daimon, Inai-cho, Usa. This temple is located near Usa Shrine and is a sacred site where the culture of syncretism of Shinto and Buddhism remains strong. The name 'Ryuugan' expresses faith in the dragon deity and massive rocks, and has long been revered as the god of water and the god of rain-making. People sensed mystical power in natural formations such as large rocks and caves, and prayed for good harvests and family safety. Though located in a remote mountain place, its high spiritual efficacy draws many visitors from distant places, making it a special presence.
