Senju-in Temple

Senju-in is a temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect located in Ishibashi-cho, Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. Its mountain name is Sonshosan, and the principal object of worship is Senju Kannon (Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara). Embodying the Kannon's vow to save all living beings with a thousand arms, this temple has continued to receive the prayers of visitors in Matsue. Based on the teachings of Shingon esoteric Buddhism, it remains a spiritual refuge for people to this day.
