History

Byakko

Named Henshouji in the wish to illuminate all with compassion, this temple stands in Sagahirosawa and bathes all in the light of Kannon Bodhisattva. When we visited, tenderness welled up from the depths of our heart. The desire to cultivate compassion toward all beings permeates this sacred place. Protected by the verdure of Arashiyama, it is a sanctuary of pure light and grace.
