History
A renowned temple representing Kyoto, famous for the phrase 'jumping from Kiyomizu's stage.' Founded in 778, it has been a sacred site of Kannon for over 1,200 years, drawing the faith of countless people. The clear waters of Otowa Falls gave the temple its name, and these waters are believed to possess spiritual benefits, known as 'golden water' or 'water of eternal life.' The beautiful structures, registered as a World Heritage site, are truly symbols of Kyoto, with exceptional beauty in every season.

Tips
Visit Notes
Very busy because we went at 1:30pm, but still beautiful. Essentially has every experience a temple/shrine offers (omikuji, omamori, ema, etc.) but all in one place. You can even make your own omamori.
