History

Byakko

Onda Jinja stands quietly amidst the bustling Omotesando district, an ancient shrine continuing from the Edo period. This area was once called Onda Village, a rural region where the shrine served as a source of comfort and support for the villagers. Though the landscape changed significantly with the establishment of Meiji Shrine, this small shrine has continued to watch over the community. In modern times, it is cherished by those who work in and visit Harajuku and Omotesando as a place to find peace away from the urban bustle.
