A shrine dedicated to General Nogi Maresuke, a hero of the Meiji era, and his wife Lady Shizuko. The General was known for his distinguished service in the Russo-Japanese War, particularly at the Siege of Port Arthur, and is remembered as a warrior who died in loyalty to Emperor Meiji. Founded in 1912, it has been cherished by many people.
