Koetsu-ji is a Nichiren-sect temple in Takagamine, Kita Ward, Kyoto City, bearing the mountain name Daikyo-zan. Its principal image is the Jukai Daimandara. The temple commands a scenic view of the three peaks of Takamine — Takagamine, Washigamine, and Amagamine — as well as the Thirty-Six Peaks of Higashiyama. It is closely associated with the cultural figure Hon'ami Koetsu and known for the refined beauty of its bamboo fence-lined precincts.
