Yoshijima Shrine

This deity guards those who live by water and has protected boatmen and farmers through ages. By Komatsu's riverside, it stands eternal as a guardian of water's bounty. Though water can be fearsome, before this shrine it becomes the blessing that sustains life. Like reeds that bend but never break, all are rooted deeply here in safety.
