Toju-ji

Toju-ji in Tsukitacho, true to its name, has illuminated people like the morning sun from the eastern direction. I have witnessed countless mornings of prayer here. Like announcing the beginning of new days, this temple too brings the promise of a new age to people's hearts. The ancient building always faces east, as if following the sun's path. Here visitors' hearts are purified and they gain courage for the new day. The name Eastern Longevity carries blessings of the eastern direction and prayers for a renewed life.
