Byakko

Honzenji is a head temple of the Hokke-shu Jinmon-ryu sect of Japanese Buddhism, located in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto. Its honorific mountain name is Koryo-zan, and the principal object of worship is the Sanpōson. The temple has three sub-temples: Enryuin, Senryoin, and Shinjoin. Rooted in the Kamigyo district of Kyoto, Honzenji has long preserved and transmitted the teachings of the Lotus Sutra, continuing to shine as a beacon of Hokke faith across the ages.
