Anaoji Jinja

Enshrined in Miyamachi, Yao, Anaoji Shrine has been cherished as the guardian deity of the region since ancient times. The name Anaoji refers to hidden dangers and concealed misfortunes that threaten the community. The shrine's sacred mission is to purify and dispel these unseen malevolent forces, protecting the people with vigilant care. Among the eight million kami, the deity of Anaoji watches with stern gaze over the land's inhabitants, performing purification rituals and maintaining spiritual protection.
