History

Byakko

Kasuga Jinja in Ono City is a shrine of distinguished origins that received the divided spirit from Kasuga Taisha of Nara. The four deities of Kasuga—Takemikazuchi no Mikoto, Futsunushi no Mikoto, Amedono-koyane no Mikoto, and Hime no Kami—are enshrined here. With a history of walking alongside Ono's castle town, it has long been cherished as the tutelary deity of the local community. The flowers that bloom in the precincts with the arrival of spring are beautiful, and the atmosphere is refreshingly fitting for the name Kasuga. It continues to be carefully preserved as a spiritual support for the local people.
