Tanakura Mago Shrine, an ancient shrine listed in the Engishiki as a major shrine (Shikinaisha Taisha), is enshrined in Tanabe district of Kyotanabe City, Kyoto. Revered since antiquity as a deity of agriculture, the local people have celebrated seasonal festivals without interruption. Formerly ranked as a Gosha (village shrine), its divine virtue continues to nourish the land and bless the community to this day.
