Fudo-ji, located in Matsuidamachi, Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture, is an ancient temple of the Shingon Buzan sect. Its mountain name is Ryuhonzan, and its institute name is Matsuida-in. The principal image is Senju Kannon (Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara). The temple bears a close historical connection to the Kai Takeda clan, and thus uses the Takeda diamond crest as its temple emblem. Enshrouded in mountain serenity, the compassion of Kannon pervades the grounds. Visitors continue to come seeking relief from misfortune and good fortune.
