History

Hinuma Manai Shrine is located in Mineyama, Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture, and is classified as a former village shrine. It enshrines Toyouke no Okami, the supreme deity of grain and agriculture, the same deity venerated at the Outer Shrine of Ise Grand Shrine. The shrine is identified with the ancient Hinuma Manai Shrine recorded in the Engishiki, making it one of the historically significant shrines of the Tango region.
