History

Byakko

Kuboichi Ototsurugi gu has long been enshrined in the Tagami area of Kanazawa. As its name 'Tsurugu' (Sword Shrine) suggests, it is said to bring benefits in martial valor and contests, and has been devotedly worshipped by local people. Since ancient times, it has served as the guardian deity of the area, protecting the livelihoods of those engaged in agriculture and commerce. Situated in a quiet residential area, it continues to receive daily visitors seeking peace and tranquility. I am fond of the warmth found in such neighborhood shrines.
