History

As the Make Shrine, it is an ancient sacred place enshrined in the Nantan district. Since 'Ma' means removing defilements from the heart and 'Ke' refers to the spiritual power pervading a place, this shrine has functioned as a place bringing purification and good fortune. From the Takei district of Sonobe, it continues to watch over the prosperity of rice fields and the happiness of villagers as an ancient guardian deity.
