History

Kyozenji is a temple of the Shingon sect (Omuro branch) in Higashisumiyoshi Ward, Osaka City. Its mountain name is Shinnozan, its institute name is Shusho-in, and the principal image is Fudo Myo-o, the Immovable Wisdom King. Details of its founding are not clearly documented, but the temple has long been rooted in this community. Enshrining Fudo Myo-o, it illuminates the path of practitioners by cutting through delusion and offering spiritual protection. Even amid an urban neighborhood, the precinct maintains quiet solemnity. Visitors continue to seek blessings through goma fire rituals and other services.
