History

Long ago, Choan-ji was established in this land to kindle the light of nembutsu practice. As a temple of the Jodo school, it has guided countless souls along the path of salvation. Among the ancient temples and shrines of Nanto, the compassion of Amida Buddha reaches the hearts of pilgrims today, unchanged since its founding.
