History

Byakko

Inabado Byodoji is a sacred place deeply rooted in the ancient imperial capital. It enshrines the Inaba Yakushi Nyorai and is particularly known for its benefits in healing illness. Since ancient times in the Heian period, it has been a compassionate temple protecting the health of the capital's people. Despite being situated amid the bustling atmosphere of Matsuhara Street, upon stepping within the temple grounds, one is enveloped in stillness and peace. I myself visit this place from time to time, and find my heart soothed by the compassion of the Yakushi Nyorai.
