Suwa Jinja in Kanazawa is an ancient shrine whose kami was invited from Suwa Taisha in Shinano Province. Since the era of the Kaga domain, it has been an important shrine where prayers were offered for military success and peace throughout the domain, collecting the devout faith of many samurai, including the domain lords. It enshrines Takeminakata no Kami, who wards off evil with courageous divine power and grants the strength to uphold justice. Even in modern times, people seeking courage and wisdom to face difficulties visit to pay their respects.
