Tsutsumine Shrine

Tsutsumine Shrine in Kadoma City, Osaka, was founded as the guardian shrine of the Manda embankment (Manda-zutsumi). It is listed in the Engishiki Jinmyocho as a shikinaisha, indicating its ancient and officially recognized status. Two shrines in Kadoma both claim this designation. The shrine embodies the prayers of those who worked to control floodwaters in ancient times, and continues to protect the local community today.
