As a subsidiary shrine of Iwashimizu Hachimangu, it has assisted the great shrine while answering the prayers of pilgrims. Like the pure water welling up in the Iwashimizu district, it has functioned as a sacred place purifying body and mind. Since ancient times, it has received strong faith from women and is known as a sacred place protecting the birth of new life.
