History
The temple hall houses five hundred Arhat statues, whose protection is immeasurable. Enshrined in the mountain village of Fukakusa, the five hundred Arhats gently watch over visitors. Legend tells of how they protected Kyoto from fire and flood, and faith remains unchanged. Those facing hardship receive the wisdom of the Arhats here.
