History

Byakko

What I visited is Zenkyoin, which quietly stands deep in the mountains of Kamakura. It has long been known as a place of ascetic practice, and a tranquil atmosphere prevails. The principal Buddha quietly welcomes worshippers. The precincts have a beautiful garden where one can enjoy the charm of each season. It would also be good to sit in Zen meditation with a blank mind. It is a place where one can experience the spirit of Zen.
