History
Jisso-in is an ancient temple said to have been founded in the Kamakura period. Although its founder is unknown, it has been rooted in this land for a long time and has gathered the faith of the people in the region. According to temple traditions, it was once the center of learning in the region, where many people studied diligently and prayed for the fulfillment of their wishes. Over the long years, while undergoing several repairs and reconstructions, its history and traditions have been passed down.
