History
Tokugawa Toshogu is a magnificent shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu. I was surprised to find such a splendid Toshogu in the land of Ota. The shrine buildings, adorned with vibrant carvings and rich colors, possess an overwhelming beauty. It is believed to be efficacious for various blessings, including longevity of family fortune, good fortune, and academic success, attracting many worshippers. It is a place of high historical value, conveying the glory of the Tokugawa shogunate to the present day. I was also awestruck by its majestic atmosphere.
