Ryoshouin

Named for righteous goodness, this temple teaches the way of the correct heart. Situated in the forest beneath Higashiyama, these halls overflow with compassion for all beings, guiding wayward hearts toward Buddha nature. Deep within the mountain woods, the light of the main deity illuminates the darkness of delusion. Countless times I have witnessed the hearts of pilgrims reflected here, gradually purified and awakened to their Buddha nature.
