Tsurumi Shrine

Tsurumi Shrine in Tsurumi Ward, Osaka City, has Hiyoshi Taisha in Sakamoto, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture as its parent shrine. Its former shrine rank was sonsha (village shrine). The shrine has long served as the local ujigami (tutelary deity) protecting the people of Tsurumi. Dedicated to bringing the blessings of the Hiyoshi Taisha deities to this land, it has been carefully preserved by generations of parishioners and continues to receive the daily prayers of the community.
