Shibamata Taishakuten Daikikyoji is formally known as Keieizan Daikikyoji, a Nichiren Buddhist temple. Founded during the Kan'ei era, it has been cherished for its devotion to Taishakuten. From the late Edo period onward, it became bustling with common folk visitors. Known nationwide as the setting for the film "It's Tough Being a Man," it is beloved by many as a location connected to Tora-san. The temple features a beautifully sculpted Taishakuten Hall and the garden "Suikeien" where visitors can enjoy flowers through the seasons. The pilgrimage path is also famous for grass dumplings and freshwater fish cuisine, offering the charm of experiencing traditional downtown atmosphere during a visit.
