A great shrine enshrined in Sakae-cho of Nagasaki, it was founded to worship the Ise Grand Shrine and has invited the virtue of Amaterasu Ōmikami to the land of Nagasaki as a sacred place. Given its location in a commercial district, it has gathered devoted faith from merchants, with prayers for prosperity and development never ceasing. Enshrining Amaterasu Ōmikami, the ancestral deity of Japan, it is said to possess widespread virtues from national peace and stability to individual good fortune. It is a precious shrine that continues to preserve the ancient spirit of Shinto in Nagasaki, an international city.
