History

Byakko

Deep in a valley at the foot of Mount Hakusan stands a temple embodying spiritual attainment. Myojo-ji's name reflects the path to enlightenment through the Lotus Sutra's teachings. As waterfall mist rises to call clouds, which become rain to nourish the mountains, so this temple distributes the pure teachings to refresh all hearts. The white temple hall stands like a mirror unstained by worldly defilement.
