Ono-no-Agatanushi Shrine

Ono-no-Agatanushi Shrine is an ancient shrine located in Yao City, Osaka Prefecture, and is listed in the Engishiki, the tenth-century official register of shrines. With a former rank of village shrine, it has long stood as a guardian of the local community. The shrine has watched over the land of Kaminoshima through the ages, offering protection and blessings for abundant harvests and household safety. Recognized in the imperial court as an Engishiki shrine, it has been deeply revered as the local tutelary shrine. Today it continues to welcome worshippers who come to honor its long tradition of faith.
