Anaji is an ancient temple traditionally dated to the Hakuho period, honored as the twenty-first station on the sacred Saigoku Kannon pilgrimage. Enshrining the eleven-faced Kannon as its principal deity, it has welcomed countless pilgrims throughout the ages. Within the serene silence of Kameoka's surrounding mountains, the compassionate voice of Kannon continues to resound eternally.
