Myoo-in is an ancient Shingon Buddhist temple located in Kusado-cho, Fukuyama, deeply connected to the history of Kusado Sengen, a medieval town. This area was known long ago as a flourishing commercial city near the mouth of the Ashida River. Both the main hall and five-story pagoda are designated as National Treasures, with the pagoda being renowned for its exceptional beauty among structures in the Chugoku region.
