History

Byakko

Yokozutumi Hachiman-gu is a shrine dedicated to Hachiman that stands quietly in the residential area of Tsurumi Ward. Enshrining Emperor Ojin, it is revered by local people as a deity of victory and martial fortune. This tutelary deity has long watched over the community, and is visited without fail during important life milestones such as first shrine visits and the Shichigosan festival. The peaceful atmosphere of this shrine is something I find very comforting.
