The Hakusan Jinja of Katsuyama is a shrine of Hakusan worship, with the sacred Mount Hakusan as its kami body. With Hakusan Hime no Okami as the enshrined deity, it is a venerable shrine that has gathered the faith of local people since ancient times. Mount Hakusan is a sacred mountain spanning the three provinces of Echizen, Kaga, and Mino, and its divine power is widely known. It is especially revered as a protective kami for women, and has been loved for its benefits of matchmaking, safe childbirth, and household harmony. Within the grounds filled with the pure essence of the mountains, one can feel the warm divine protection of the Hakusan deity.
