Hoon-in is a sub-temple nestled within the sacred precinct of Sennyuji Temple in Higashiyama, Kyoto. Belonging to the Sennyuji branch of Shingon Buddhism, its principal image is the Fukukensaku Kannon (Amoghapasha). As the 25th site on the Rakuyo Sanjusansho Kannon Pilgrimage, it has long welcomed devotees devoted to Kannon worship. Embraced by the deep spiritual atmosphere of Sennyuji, it quietly watches over the prayers of those who come seeking the compassion of Kannon.
