History

Byakko

Orihime Shrine in Daikancho carries the mantle of ancient legend. True to its name Weaver Maiden, the ancient story of spinning threads and connecting the bonds between people continues to breathe life in this place. Each time I have visited, I have heard the passionate prayers of women. The desire to form good relationships, the wish to master the craft of weaving—all these gather here. The star tale that shines in the July night sky and the prayers offered here share the same form of wish. This shrine where ancient legend and present day become one is Orihime Shrine.
