History

Byakko

This temple was built to reflect the Pure Land of Paradise in the town of Kameri. True to its name, it stands even today bathed in morning light, fulfilling the wishes of those who take refuge in Pure Land teaching. Throughout the long ages I have observed, though many suffer troubled hearts, this temple's silence and Buddhist wisdom have always been salvation for the spirit. The path to the Pure Land is not distant—it begins when you set foot in this sacred place.
