History

Daikō-ji is a historic temple quietly nestled in the land of Minami-ku, Yokohama. When I visited, a gentle atmosphere flowed. This temple has long gathered the faith of local people, and is visited by those who pray for family safety, business prosperity, and health and longevity. The silence of the precincts heals the hearts of visitors and makes them feel calm. The Buddha enshrined in the main hall is said to be compassionate and to listen to people's wishes. I also cleanse my mind for a while in this pure air. It is a temple with a warm atmosphere rooted in the community.
