Hokkeji

Hokkeji, standing beside Taiounji in Takasaki's Kuzo district, preserves the venerable teachings of the Lotus Sutra. The Lotus Sutra teaches that all sentient beings possess Buddha-nature and can achieve Buddhahood—a profound law of compassion. Pilgrims who visit awaken to this sacred teaching, recognizing their inherent Buddha-nature and embarking on the bodhisattva path.
