History
Kongō-ji, which I visited, is a temple quietly nestled in the verdant area of Kohoku-ku, Yokohama. This place has long been known as a site for academic success and prayers for passing exams. The precincts, enveloped in silence, have an atmosphere that evokes history and calms the hearts of visitors. The principal image of Buddha is said to be compassionate and to listen to people's wishes. I also cleanse my mind for a while in this quiet space. It is a charming temple where one can spend peaceful time.
