Byakko

Jorinji is a Jodo Pure Land Buddhist temple located in Tanaka, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto. Its mountain name is Komyozan and its hall name is Sesshuiin. Long known as the Temple of Bush Clover, it captivates visitors with the blooming of hagi flowers across the grounds each autumn. Together with Chokukuji to the north and Shojoin to the south, it is called one of the Three Temples of Sunagawa, and has long served as a spiritual anchor for the Tanaka district.
