Ensconced in the depths of Shikagastani valley, this shrine has long been venerated as protector of women and children. A magnificent thousand-year-old ginkgo tree stands beside the main hall, its overwhelming presence embodying divine spirit. Many pilgrims visit en route to Kiyomizu Temple, and for centuries this sanctuary has been steadfast guardian of Kyops women. Particularly efficacious for prayers seeking prosperous descendants.
