History
This temple is said to have been founded in the Kamakura period. The founder is Nichiro Shonin, a high disciple of Nichiren Shonin. The principal image is a seated statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, which stands in a tranquil precinct. Within the grounds, there is a large ginkgo tree several hundred years old, which turns a magnificent golden color in autumn. It is a place where one can worship with a calm mind in a serene atmosphere. The goshuin reflects the history and charm of this temple.
