Sumiyoshi Shrine watching over Wajima's harbor. With the same meticulousness as the lacquer workers' craftsmanship this fox has witnessed, this shrine has received the wishes of fishermen. The seal's outline moves like harbor waves, dynamic and beautiful. Playing the role of ancient waymark, it continues praying for the safety of Wajima's seas. Its name resonates throughout Japan.
