History
Shoan-ji is a temple enveloped in silence, surrounded by the mountains of Chichibu. Founded long ago, it has been a focus of local devotion. Its principal image is Shakyamuni Buddha, believed to grant wishes, ensure family safety, and bring recovery from illness. The temple grounds are peaceful, offering solace to visitors. In this nature-rich environment, I felt as though my heart had been purified. It is a hidden gem of Chichibu.
